For the 2020-21 school year, Fountainview Academy will be traveling down to the USA for a tour in December. Students need to have insurance to cover them while they are on this tour. The fee for this insurance is already included in the total amount for the insurance fee stated in the Tuition and Fees Schedule. No amount can be deducted even if you have insurance that would cover your child while in the USA.
If Fountainview Academy offers any official school international trips - such as a senior class trip or an all-school overseas trip, etc. travel insurance will be purchased to cover students and those fees will be included in the fundraising amounts.
Fountainview Academy provides free transportation to and from the Seattle International Airport (SEA), Abbotsford International Airport (YXX), and Vancouver International Airport (YVR) at the beginning and end of each break, including summer break. Fountainview Academy does not provide any travel insurance coverage for such trips when students travel to/from any of the above-mentioned airports.
Some students who are not from the USA sometimes choose to visit friends or family in the USA for a weekend or a school break. You should keep in mind that if you do not have insurance that covers your child while they are in the USA, then they would not have insurance for that type of trip, because it is not covered by Fountainview Academy either.
