  • Player Code of Conduct
    As a Kitchener Minor Baseball player I agree to abide by the following code of conduct:

    1. Encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches, officials, and parents.
    2. Be a team player and support my teammates.
    3. Be on time and attend every practice and game that I can, and will notify my coaches if I cannot.
    4. Treat personal and team equipment
      with RESPECT at all times, ensuring that it be placed in the proper position in the dugout. Throwing of batting helmets and other equipment will result in immediate removal from the practice/game and further discipline action may be deemed necessary. Along with my teammates, I will leave the dugout neater than I found it.
    5. Work hard to improve my skills.
    6. Focus on my schooling and maintain good grades.
    7. Do my best to listen and learn from my coaches.
    8. Encourage my parents to be involved with my team in some capacity.
    9. Congratulate the other team after each game as a demonstration of sportsmanship.
    10. Refrain from using violence, unfriendly language, or insults to others.
    11. Be generous when I win and gracious when I lose.
    12. Obey the rules of the game and always work for the good of the team.
    13. Accept the decisions of the officials with grace and never challenge or question calls.
    14. Refrain from challenging or questioning on-field calls by officials and/or managers and coaches.
    15. Conduct myself with honor and dignity.
    16. Applaud the efforts of my teammates and opponents.
    17. Refrain from the use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco any other restricted product while representing Kitchener Minor Baseball.  This includes at games, practices and for the duration of team events including tournament weekends.
      ***Violation of this rule will result in immediate removal from the team.***

    I also agree that if I fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I will be subject to disciplinary action levied by the Kitchener Minor Baseball Board of Directors or Code of Conduct Committee that could include but is not limited to the following:  

    • Verbal warning
    • Written warning
    • Player suspension for games
    • Player suspension for season including postseason
    • Player being expelled from the league
  • Parent Code of Conduct
    As a Kitchener Minor Baseball parent I agree to abide by the following code of conduct:

    1. I will treat all participants with respect by demonstrating appropriate and mature adult behavior at all times. I will not use abusive language or actions and will I will never yell at or criticize an umpire, opposing coach, player or parent.
    2. I will remember that children participate to have fun, and that the game is for youth, not adults.
    3. I will respect the efforts of the volunteers that allow Kitchener Minor Baseball, Inc to exist, particularly the coaches that are so critical to the success of the program.
    4. I will read and understand the playing rules and program philosophy of the team and age level that my player is participating.
    5. I will support my player and his/her team mates by only cheering for his/her team positively, never negatively against the opposing team.
    6. I will never drink alcoholic beverages, smoke, or chew tobacco at a game or practice. These practices are prohibited by law and by League rules.
    7. I will drop-off and pick-up my player on time for all practices and games.
    8. I will inform the coach as far in advance as possible of any absence or late arrival that cannot be avoided.
    9. I will remain away from the dugouts at all times, unless I have been asked to be there or on the field in an official capacity by a coach, umpire or official.
    10. I will volunteer to assist with any activity that needs to be done.
    11. I will contact my player's coach at an appropriate time if I am not satisfied with my player's experience.
      • I will observe a 24 hour rule and to schedule a time to discuss an issue with the coach away from the distractions of the field and team.
      • If still unsatisfied with my player’s experience I will contact my team’s parent rep and then the  KMBA parent rep (parentrelations.kmba@rogers.com) who will provide final resolution in consultation with the KMBA board of directors.
    12. I will contact the Board of Directors (president@kmba.ca) at an appropriate time if I have concerns about the League, coaches, umpires, or any other aspect of Kitchener Minor Baseball

    I also agree that if I fail to abide by the aforementioned rules and guidelines, I will be subject to disciplinary action levied by the Kitchener Minor Baseball Board of Directors or Code of Conduct Committee that could include but is not limited to the following:  

    • Verbal warning
    • Written warning
    • Request to not attend for a number of games
    • Request to not attend for remainder season including postseason
    • Player suspension from games
    • Player suspension for remainder season including postseason
  • Use of Personal Information Waiver

    By choosing accept, I hereby grant permission to the Kitchener Minor Baseball Association (KMBA) to use name and limited personal information of the child indicated on this form, and also team and action photographs including their child, in print and in electronic media. Such photographs may be used by KMBA in all formats and publications including, but not limited to, newspapers, brochures and the websites of KMBA or KWMBA combined House League for publicity purposes. Electronic media may also include individual player stats, game and team information. No other personal information (example: address, phone number, school) will be disclosed.

    I hereby grant permission for KMBA and those authorize by KMBA (ie. Coaches, Team Managers, Social Coordinators) to use video of the child indicated on this form for instructional or promotional purposed.  Should I wish to not grant this permission I will notify KMBA of this restriction.

The Undersigned understands that once a photograph is posted on a website, the image can be downloaded by any computer user and specifically waives his/her rights and protection pursuant to the provisions of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. *

  • Kitchener Minor Baseball presents one of the most comprehensive baseball programs in Ontario and we would like to do even more. To make this happen in an affordable way level we rely on volunteers to help with programs and events. Please indicate below if you willing to volunteer some of your time.
