For the 2019/2020 school term, the Bluewater Occasional Teacher Local will distribute Professional Learning Event Funds to members using a random draw of valid entries received by the application deadline of June 1st, 2020.
Local members who attend a variety of professional learning events (e.g. ETFO conferences, workshops, AQ courses, summer academy sessions, other non-profit organizations, etc.) may submit their name once for a chance to receive up to $100 reimbursement of the fees associated with the cost of attending the event.
Those chosen at random from all valid entries will be mailed a cheque to the home address provided on the form and informed by their email.
The professional learning event attended by the member must take place between July 1st, 2019 and June 1st, 2020 and be completed to be eligible for the draw of reimbursed funds.
To be eligible for funding the member must submit the following form with attached (scanned, picture, pdf, word, etc.) official receipts bearing the name of the events, including dates and proof of payment and attendance (copy of the certificate, or other verification of completion of the event).
The number of members drawn will vary from year to year based on the amount determined by the Professional Learning Event Fund. Professional Learning Funds, for the purposes of individual member funding of events, will be determined on a yearly basis in accordance with the Bluewater Occasional Teacher Local budget.
